There something so nice about the shiny bling of a new cassette. It makes your bike feel new again, shifting is improved and everything just feels smoother. If only it lasted. The next photo shows that same cassette one week and two hundred miles latter. When was the last time you had a good look at your cassette? If you go outside and look at in the sun, and it's not shiny like the one above, its time to clean it. In fact you should always strive to have that new cassette glisten. Even if its not realistic, having the mentality and keeping the practice of cleaning it will help to ensure that your gears live their life to the fullest. Meaning you will have to replace them less often. saving you $$$.
So its October, and with a long hot summer of epic rides behind you, your bike is probably due for a tune up anyways, but don't worry we'll take care of that for you. Also, if you like to get in a ride after a day in the office, its a good time to start thinking about putting some lights on your bike, sunsets now at 6:30. We've got plenty to choose from, but the Knog lights seem to be the shop favorite.
